The moon disc for the silver-coloured moon phase display is crafted in-house. As a first step, a milling machine is used to carefully cut out two moons, which gives them their wonderful convex shape. The surface is then polished with a diamond milling tool, giving them an unparalleled sheen. The silver of the star-studded night sky, on the other hand, is the result of an elaborate galvanic process.
