Glashutte Sixties 39.0mm Mens Watch

The Sixties models have been a cornerstone of our Vintage Collection for years linking history with modern times. The inspiration for this iconic timepiece was the liveliness of the 1960s – a vibrant decade that shaped society, art and architecture in a decisive manner. The round forms and extravagant typography contribute to the subtle retro look of this elegant men’s watch.

The 39 mm stainless steel case of this mechanical watch is polished to a high gloss and is ultra-slim. Its transparent case back offers perfect views of the automatic movement and contributes to the wearer’s comfort: thanks to its special shape the watch fits snugly around the wrist. A black, finely scaled Louisiana alligator leather strap completes the vintage look and ensures an elegant fit on the wrist.

The slightly curved golden hands glide gently over the handmade domed dial. Its fine silver surface is the result of a careful galvanic process that takes place in our own dial production unit. The incised hour markers, luminous dots and the distinctive typeface used for the Arabic numerals offer the unmistakable look of Sixties design.

This retro-modern timepiece is powered by our automatic winding calibre 39-52 and features a power reserve of 40 hours. Through the sapphire crystal case back, one can admire traditional Glashütte features such as the Glashütte three-quarter plate with stripe finish, the swan-neck fine adjustment, polished and bevelled steel parts, as well as a skeletonised rotor with 21-carat gold oscillating weight.
